Dr Simon Hayward joins prestigious judging panel to celebrate HR talent
Cirrus CEO Dr Simon Hayward is delighted to join the judging panel for the HR Original Thinkers Awards.
Simon was invited to join the judging panel by Rita Trehan, a leading Chief Human Resources Officer who founded HR Original Thinkers (HROT) after hearing about ‘disruption’ in the HR industry, but seeing little change. Rita founded HROT because she believes that it’s time for an HR revolution.
The aim of HROT is to support fresh talent in an often-overlooked industry. HR professionals are rarely on corporate boards, and HR is not always viewed as an aspirational career choice compared to other professions.
“We must change the way we think about HR in order to create the change we so desperately require,” says Rita. “We need strong HR because people are the most important part of any company. HROT wants to find the individuals who are really making an impact. We have brought together a panel of expert judges to help select them, including Cirrus’ own CEO Simon Hayward.”
“It’s very exciting to be part of HROT,” says Simon. “These awards will recognise people who are challenging the world of HR and changing the way we think about it – people who’ll make a big impact both now and in the future. There are some very forward-thinking young HR professionals around today and HROT will encourage them to share some of their most innovative ideas.”
More details on these new awards will be unveiled soon. “This is not a traditional awards programme,” says Rita. “Don’t expect lengthy applications or testimonials!”
The awards will be open to HR professionals under the age of 35 with big ideas from around the globe. The top ten entries will be showcased and the ultimate winner will receive a $7,500 prize.
