Join Cirrus and Monash Business School for breakfast in Melbourne
What role does HR play in driving transformation across organisations? Cirrus and Monash Business School are co-hosting a special breakfast event in Melbourne on Thursday 31 August to explore this topic with HR, L&D and talent leaders from a wide range of organisations.
The event will be introduced by Professor Richard Hall, Deputy Dean of Leadership and Executive Education at Monash Business School. Alison Tickner, Managing Director of Cirrus in Asia-Pacific, will then present the findings of recent research into the role HR plays in building a long-term, sustainable future for businesses.
This research, Leadership Connections: HR’s role in business transformation, was carried out by Cirrus in partnership with Ipsos MORI. We found that HR can effectively drive transformation by focusing on the areas of purpose, empowerment, and collaboration. The role of HR is shifting from the transactional to becoming a true strategic partner, and our research shows that many C-suite leaders are keen for HR to step up to this role and drive change.
At the event, we will explore the key findings of this research with our guests. Discussion will be facilitated by Professor Marianne Roux, who as well as being Head of Consulting for Cirrus Asia-Pacific is also Professor of Practice at Monash Business School.
Together with our guests, Marianne will explore:
- Why so many organisations are transforming
- Why people would rather work for a cause than a company
- HR’s role in empowering and engaging employees
- The importance of Connected Leadership, collaboration and agility to successful transformation.
