Cirrus CEO to launch his latest book and speak at industry-leading conference
Dr Simon Hayward is looking forward to two very special events with the University of Melbourne at the end of October.
The Agile Leader book launch
The Australian launch of Simon’s latest book, The Agile Leader, will take place at a very special event hosted by the University of Melbourne.
The event will be held in the stunning location of University House at The Woodward on the evening of Wednesday 24 October from 6.00pm – 8.00pm.
Guests will be welcomed by Dr Heather Davis, Honorary Fellow of Melbourne Graduate School of Education’s LH Martin Institute. Simon will talk through the key themes of The Agile Leader, drawing on real-world case studies to demonstrate how adopting the principles of agile leadership can help organisations to flourish in our fast-moving and unpredictable world. There will then be a panel discussion and Q&A chaired by Professor Leo Goedegebuure, Director of the LH Martin Institute. We are delighted that Serena Marriott, Senior Manager, Culture and Leadership at ANZ, and Anton Zelcer, Head of Leadership Development at BHP, will both join Simon on the panel.
This will be a relaxed event, and we look forward to lots of lively conversation over drinks and canapes.
Places at this event are limited and priority will be given to Cirrus clients and university alumni. If you are interested in attending, please let us know.
The Service Improvement and Innovation in Tertiary Education Conference
On Friday 26 October, Simon will be a keynote speaker at The Service Improvement and Innovation in Tertiary Education Conference.
The conference is hosted by the LH Martin Institute, Australia’s national institute for tertiary education leadership and management.
This year’s conference will examine examples of innovation throughout the tertiary education sector and explore learnings which can be applied from other sectors. Simon’s keynote session will take place from 9.00am – 10.00am and will explore how agile leadership can enable more innovative organisations. He will highlight the key attributes of agile leadership and look at how to overcome barriers to service improvement. Simon will also chair a lunchtime panel discussion.
