Tim Jones joined Cirrus as global head of operations earlier this year. He leads our global delivery team based across our London, Wilmslow and Melbourne offices.
Tim has joined Cirrus during an exciting period of growth, when we are collaborating with many ambitious global clients to help transform their organisations. He has a passion for breaking down complex problems into simple solutions and is focused on ensuring that every client benefits from a consistently high level of service.
In his previous role as a management consultant Tim specialised in the areas of operations, process improvement, cost control, and mergers and acquisitions – achieving significant benefits for his clients. He also brings extensive experience of directing major projects across a range of industries and is skilled at leading efficient and effective operations and delivery teams.
Tim has an MBA and a degree in engineering. During his MBA, he was awarded a six-month scholarship to study at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he took the opportunity to study human resources, engineering robotics and Buddhism. He also collaborated with other students as part of an international network which included Yale, Harvard and Princeton.
He began his career as an engineer with Rolls-Royce in the UK and went on to gain international experience with a range of organisations in the United States, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
So what attracted Tim to Cirrus? “The positive culture, creativity and great people. There is a wonderful energy here.”
And how does he feel after his first six months? “Cirrus is a fast-moving and exciting organisation. We are working in collaboration with global clients as they strive to become increasingly innovative, agile and customer-centred in a fast-moving world. It’s very rewarding. The team is excellent.”
Tim is also enjoying being part of Cirrus as our business grows. “I like being involved in the whole process of scaling up in a global organisation, cutting through complexity to create simplicity, and introducing new improvements every day.”
